The Team A Pioneers are Haruna Kojima, Mariko Shinoda and Minami Takahashi. Three founding members of AKB48 who are highly respected and revered by the younger members. Each of them has a unique personality and qualities that make them exemplar Senpai to their Kohai. This is 1/3 of a three piece illustration.
Mariko Shinoda is one of the most respected members of AKB48. Not simply because of seniority but for the ideal she sets. Professionalism, self-sacrifice and a determination for excellence, even other senior members seek Mariko-sama's approval. There is not much reference to AKB48 in the costume I put her in. Mariko has an outstanding sense of fashion so I dressed her in a very sleek outfit. I wanted her to be reminiscent of "Bond" girl.
