Wolverine VS Deadpool Completeby *Sumo0172

As the title indicates this is the complete and final version of my Wolverine VS Deadpool experience. Not to say that I will not attempt this subject again but for now I am sated and my desire to draw this subject is fulfilled. Here is some information to explain why I feel so satisfied with this piece.

In this drawing the composition is more symmetric and the two subjects are more balanced. Their body types are better rendered to show how I believe these two would appear in real life: Wolverine has a compact and muscular build while Deadpool has more lean and limber physique. Their poses also reflect how i see these two subjects and how they would fight. Deadpool has a seemingly choreographed and structured stance, his limbs in close to his body conveying a look of a disciplined(yet debonair) assassin. Wolverine has a more open and freestyle look, his arms wide to occupy and inflict damage to as wide an area as possible.

Now for some details. Although not as apparent in this scanned version Deadpool is smiling under his mask, exhibiting the daring nature of the "Merc with a Mouth". Wolverine has apparently already taken a lot of damage, I always felt his healing ability would give him a "Give me your best shot" attitude which would lead to him receiving a lot of injuries in any fight he gets into. I gave Deadpool only one weapon, the Muramasa Blade.

The narrative of the piece is, Deadpool has just swung the Muramasa Blade narrowly missing giving Wolverine a fatal blow. Now Wolverine prepares to make his move.

Im crazy about Deadpool, and i'm often critical about changes to him/his physique etc.
This is utterly brilliant work. You captured Deadpool in one of his greatest substances. Thank you for sharing this
