Ever since I first saw X-23 in Uncanny X-Men #450 she quickly became one of my favorite characters. She easily knocked off Wolverine (her genetic progenitor) as my favorite character to draw. She's is as hard as Wolverine with none of his whinyness, if you've been reading his latest stuff you know what I mean. Don't get me wrong Wolverine is still cool but he's always brooding about his past and since he got his memory back, don't get me started. He's just not the smart-mouthing, cigar smoking badass he used to be. X-23 is simply a stone cold killer (read her self-titled origin, you'll see what I mean) not some amnesiac with claws trying to come to grips with his past. My version of X-23 has one major difference from her official canon, my X-23 has a spiked or a fauxhawk hairstyle. Reason, Wolverine has about the wildest hairstyles around; I figure so would his cloned daughter. I mean look at his son.
This is the scan 'X-23 5' manipulated in Photoshop, with a lot of coaching from my sister. This version is actually a lot truer to the original drawing and idea.

There is no way to measure an artist, or their work, because nothing matters, but their vision. Their acceptance by the rest of the world is merely external.
X-23 is my favorite character too, I'm so happy to find someone else. I concur with her hair too, I'd love for her to have a more girlish version of his hair.

In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

It doesn't matter if everyone in the world hates your work. As long as you love what you create and love to create it, it is good art.
